Preferred Candidate Visit to Campus!

Hello! I am very, very excited about the Board of Trustees’ preferred presidential candidate, Eli Capilouto! You may have already received the email from Board of Trustees Chair Britt Brockman, but if not, a lot more information (including info on the various forums and survey) can be found at the link below.

UK’s Board interviewed finalists this weekend and for a variety of reasons, we chose Capilouto as the preferred candidate to introduce the UK community. Now, it is time for thoughts and comments from staff, faculty and students!

The Staff Forum, sponsored by the Staff Senate, is Monday, May 2, at 11:30 am in Worsham Theater, Student Center Annex.

The candidate will have a few comments to offer, but most of the time he will be responding to questions/comments from the audience. The forum will end around 12:30 pm. A free shuttle bus will run from Chandler Hospital to the Student Center. (See the UKNow link above for shuttle times.)

If you can’t attend in person, you can watch it streamed live on UKNow.

SUPERVISORS – please let your employees know about this forum and if possible, encourage them to attend. It is important for staff employees in all areas to have this opportunity. J

PLEASE fill out the online survey: The online survey is at  It’s anonymous, but you need to access it through your link blue account.  THERE IS A LIMITED TIME IN WHICH TO TAKE THIS SURVEY – YOU CAN LOG IN BEGINNING NOW, BUT YOU MUST FILL OUT THE SURVEY BY 6 PM MONDAY, MAY 2. (The Board will get the results Tuesday morning.)

As your staff trustee, I very much want to learn from your wide variety of perspectives! The Board will review forum comments and input on Tuesday morning. (That’s why the survey ends at 6 pm on Monday, May 2.)

I apologize if you get this exact same info from me more than once – I just want to reach as many of you as I can. J If you are on Facebook, look me up!
