Last Week UKIT, TASC and the Library held our first Student IT Forum to talk to students about their IT Experience here at UK. We wanted to hear from students about the thing they like, don’t like, and what we can do to make things better. There was a survey, and several of us walked around talking to groups of students to hears about individual experiences. The survey results are still being tallied, but there are several things we learned.
We heard from the nearly 300 students that attended that we are doing a pretty good job, with just a few places we need to improve. two of the main points that came up over and over again was more wireless coverage and more areas for group work like the HUB, these are both things that we are working on improving.
There were several other things we heard, mostly positive, and once the survey results are in I’ll post those up here.
We are planning on having an IT Forum twice a year, during the spring and fall semesters, but we always want to hear from you, if you have questions or comments don’t hesitate to let us know, if you have a cool idea, tell us about it. If you have a topic you’d like us discuss at the next IT forum, tell us about it.
You can leave comments in this Blog, or via the UKIT Helpdesk.
